Zenbu wasabi paste is spicy and balanced at the same time. It is made in Japan from real wasabi root (33%) without the addition of colourings or preservatives. The sea salt contained in the paste serves as a preservative.
Recipe for wasabi mayo
Mix 1 egg, 120 ml sunflower oil, a pinch of salt and 1 tbsp sugar. Add 3 tbsp lime juice, 1 tsp lime zest and 2 tsp wasabi paste and mix. Blend with a hand blender until you have a creamy wasabi mayo.
Wasabi is one of Japan’s national spices. Wasabi comes from the cruciferous family and is a wild plant native to swampy areas along rivers. The Japanese have been making this spicy-hot paste from the plant stalk and its fine shoot roots for hundreds of years.
