Since Tamari soy sauce is made without wheat, it is gluten-free. It has a strong umami flavour and goes well with sushi, sashimi and grilled dishes.

For your appetiser:
Lightly heat 2 tbsp tamari sauce and 1 tbsp coconut oil in a pan, toss 200 g almonds in it and brown lightly in the middle of the oven for 15 minutes (at 180 degrees). Leave to cool and serve.
Japanese traditionalists think tamari is the most original and purest of all soy sauces.
If you only lightly moisten the sushi with soy sauce, you are doing it right. Do not drown it!
