Practical tip
Fancy fried rice but without the carbs? Simply replace conventional rice with shirataki rice. Rinse the grains well with water, place in boiling water for 1 minute and finally add the fried ingredients.

The konjac plant (Amorphophallus konjac) is a plant species of the genus titan arum. It is also known as “devil’s tongue”. The plant originates from Southeast Asia. The tuber, which can grow up to 25 centimetres wide, is called konjac root. The flour used to make shirataki products is obtained from this root.
